Shake off the blues and get happy by smiling

Nobody likes to be told to smile when you’re feeling blue but this really is worth a try.  It’s scientifically proven to work!

Smile! Even if you don’t want to, just do it and notice immediately a shift in your mood. Even better, look up while you’re doing it. Apparently this helps too.

What are the benefits of smiling:

1. Releases the feel good hormone Serotonin.

2. Releases endorphins which is a natural pain relief.

3. Makes you more attractive to others.

4. Relieves stress.

5. Changes mood.

6. Boosts your immune system.

7. Your face will look less tired.

8. And if you really can’t manage a smile on your own, then put a pencil between your teeth.  It will be a false smile but you’ll still get the benefits.
